I am writing a PHP script that will read data from my database and dump it out in a Google Document. I am currently using Google Docs as a data storage and output. The script will loop through a list of ID's in the database and copy the table, including the description. My problem is when I try to copy a list of ID's that don't have a corresponding record in the database. I would like to be able to skip the copy and move on to the next ID. Here is an example of my code: $ids = array('5' => 'This is a test', '6' => 'This is a test2'); foreach ($ids as $key => $value) { $sql = "SELECT table.`description` FROM table WHERE table.`id` = {$key} LIMIT 1"; $query = mysqli_query($dbc, $sql); while ($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($query)) { $sheet->appendRow($row); } } When the script runs, it will copy 'This is a test' twice because there are two records with that ID in the database. What I want to do is ignore the second copy of 'This is a test'. Is there a way to do this? A: You need a way to check if the id is in the database and if it is NOT, do not append the row. You can either count the number of rows that match your id, then loop through the results until you find a match, or you can write the query to only return rows where the id exists.
